Swan Song
(n). Swan Song: a metaphor for a last performance, act, or gesture. It originates from the ancient Greek belief that swans remain silent up until their death, and from their first and final cry, a beautiful song is born.
Our lives ebb and flow like ripples in the pond. Though our creations are rooted in the present, they remain a culmination of our past selves: a mosaic of experiences, connections, and yearnings. And yet—there are always changes. Destruction ignites creation and ends become beginnings. “Swan Song” seeks to explore these dualities and examine the ways in which the past iterations of ourselves all explode into performance. It is a cathartic celebration of existence. Let it pool around us and carry us through our eternal swan song.
